Evangelism

God calls each of us in a unique way to be evangelical and spread the good word about God’s grace and love for one another. At Emmanuel Lutheran, each of us has been called to reach out to the community and spread the good news about Christ and the salvation he offers to every one of us. The evangelism committee is doing several things to spread the word.

We continue to welcome new members to Emmanuel, and have made outreach efforts in the community through new neighbor programs in the area. Just as important to the life of the congregation as bringing new members into the fold, we must continue reaching out to one another in the congregation. Through various fellowship events we have opportunities to share the good news of Christ’s teachings and nurture each other. We share with one another during coffee hour, retreats, Bible study, and various small groups who meet on a regular basis. The “Fun Bunch,” designed to bring our seniors together, is an off-shoot of the feedback received from a survey that the evangelism committee conducted several years ago.
